- Visa and MasterCard charge cards are acceptable forms of payment
- Journeys Connect does not accept American Express, checks, or wire transfers for payments
- All tour payments are in US$ and will be charged to the credit card on file
- No-fee payment plans are listed on each tour Registration Form
Initial Deposit:
- $500 per person is required to reserve your space on the 2026 tours
- Your full and final payment is due on the date listed for your tour
- Payment options are available, at no additional charge - please see the individual Tour Registration Form
- Payments will be automatically charged to the credit card on file
- Should the minimum number of travelers not be reached, your deposit and any subsequent payments will be fully refunded
Cancellations/Changes:
- Unless your tour does not meet the minimum number of travelers and is cancelled by Celtic Quilt Journeys, deposits and payments are non-refundable. We strongly recommend the purchase of Trip Insurance.
Trip Land Insurance Policies and Premiums:
- Travelers on tours, provided by Journeys Connect, have the option of purchasing land tour insurance through TripMate, which is available to North American travelers only.

- The insurance premium must be paid when you submit your deposit to ensure any pre-existing conditions will be covered should you need to cancel your tour or utilize your insurance while on tour
- Pre-Tour Hotel Insurance will be charged when you submit your deposit and land tour insurance options
- If you live outside of covered insurance areas, we strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance through a local company. This may ensure your pre-existing conditions are covered, and, in many cases, you must purchase your travel insurance before depositing your requested tour.
COVID-19 Vaccination:
- Celtic Quilt Journeys expects every tour participant to follow all health and safety precautions that may be set by your host, guide, tour company, and/or local officials to safeguard the health and well-being of you and your fellow travelers. These precautions may include, but are not limited to:
- Being able to present a vaccination card showing you are fully vaccinated (if requested)
- Going to a local doctor or medical facility if you are having symptoms of COVID-19 or another malady
- Using a face mask (if necessary) and hand sanitizer as needed
- If you test positive for COVID-19, you will be asked to leave the tour until you test negative. We highly recommend travel insurance for such an occurrence.
Fitness to Participate:
- Travelers are responsible for ensuring they are medically and physically fit for travel.
- Any pre-existing health condition must be disclosed before booking.
- Be able to walk, unassisted, 5,000 – 10,000 steps per day
- Navigate and manage going up and down stairs, walking over cobblestones, and other uneven surfaces
- Be able to stand and walk for several hours throughout the day, in museums and other sites, regardless of the weather
- Use combined shower/bath facilities (it is impossible to guarantee walk-in shower facilities at each hotel)
- Board/disembark coaches, and other methods of transportation without assistance
- Be able to manage your carry-on/tote bags to your hotel room and bus on your own, including possibly up stairs
Venues
- May not have elevators or escalators
- May have uneven stone steps and cobblestones
- May not have handrails
- May not have visitor seating
Travelers Comportment:
- Celtic Quilt Journeys reserves the right to not accept or retain a tour participant, any person whose physical and/or mental condition or general deportment impedes the operation of the tour or affects the rights, welfare, or enjoyment of other tour participants, or for any other reason. If a person is required to leave a tour, it shall be considered an unused portion and non-refundable, and they will be responsible for all expenses to return home, including any rebooking fees by airlines and/or suppliers.
Terms and Conditions:
- This is a private group journey, based on a minimum number of participants to operate. Rates quoted are in US Dollars (unless otherwise indicated) per person based on either double or single occupancy. Hotels are subject to change. Depending on weather conditions and circumstances beyond our control, the itinerary is subject to change.
Responsibility/Liability:
- Payment of the trip itinerary constitutes consent to all Legal policies and terms and conditions described here. Neither the Operator, tour company nor any mentioned or unmentioned subagents/affiliates shall be held responsible for any personal injury, property damage or other loss a passenger incurs on any tour arising from acts or omissions by any air carrier, public transport company, hotel, car rental company, subcontractor or other person or organization, whether such company is rendering any services supplied on the tour.
- All tickets and vouchers are issued and supplied subject to the foregoing and to any terms and conditions under which transportation and services are provided. The Tour Operator and tour company accepts no responsibility for losses or expenses due to delay or changes in schedules, flight cancellations or misconnections due to mechanical problems, sickness, quarantine, weather, acts of God, strikes, government actions, war, terrorism, or other circumstances beyond its control. Passengers must bear all such losses or expenses
- To guard against unforeseen circumstances, we recommend you purchase the optional travel protection plan offered with each booking. The Tour Operator reserves the right to alter prices at any time before departure and without prior notice if circumstances so warrant. Any devaluation or revaluation of currencies may affect published prices.
